Ukranian Folk Dolls

            “ Kozak Petro” is one of a kind and stands 48 cm tall. His face and hands were made from Papier-Mache’, and his feet were made from Super Sculpey. Mustache and hair made from cotton tread. The hat is made from synthetic sheep hair.

            “Baba Yaga the Witch” is one of a kind and stands 44 cm tall. Her face, hands and feet were made from Papier-Mache’. Her hair is made from synthetic thread. “Baba Yaga” is a character from Russian Fairytales.

             “Oksana” is one of a kind and stands 44 cm tall. Her face, hands and feet were made from Papier-Mache’. Her hair made from unbleached linen thread.

These Ukrainian folk dolls were painted with acrylic paint and glazed. Their bodies are made from stuffed cloth. Their clothing was tailored to resemble authentic Ukrainian Heritage period clothing. These three dolls were displayed in a Ukrainian Heritage Museum for several months in Ukraine.
